URBAN GROOVE SCHEDULE
Brittany joined the crew in 2006, and has danced in a studio for the majority of her life, while picking up the opportunity to teach classes for 5 of her years there. She has had experience performing in an array of events, including sports half-time shows, fundraisers, youth conferences, street festivals, church events, and musical performances. She has choreographed for and performed in a Michael Jackson Tribute show, and has had the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally to perform and facilitate workshops. She has attended workshops and learned from professional choreographers, such as a few from the popular TV show "So You Think You Can Dance". Her goals are to travel more while sharing her passion for dance as well as the love of Jesus with more people around the globe. Brittany’s style is described as street, with groove-funk foundations, and with some wacking and locking influences.
Raelyn founded Continual Surrender in 1997, and since then has had numerous opportunities to perform and facilitate workshops and other events locally, nationally, and internationally. She has been a backup dancer for various rap and R&B artists, danced background in the movie “Lullaby for Pi”, has choreographed for and performed in a Michael Jackson Tribute show, and taught hip hop in a local studio for multiple years. Many hours of her time have been given to training youth and young adults in dance, and helping other groups around Canada build their own dance teams. Raelyn's desire is to always be growing and exploring the limitlessness that dance and creativity brings. Her passion lies with using those skills to open doors throughout all spheres of society and to see lives transformed as they encounter God’s love and His presence. She describes her style as street, with experience in popping, locking, breakdancing, house, wacking, R&B, and Old School.
